 Jen Wilkin is a speaker, writer and teacher of women’s Bible studies in Dallas, Texas. She has organized and led studies for women in home, church, and parachurch contexts. Her passion is to see women become articulate and committed followers of Christ, with a clear understanding of why they believe what they believe, grounded in the Word of God. She is the author of “Women of the Word: How to Study the Bible with Both our Hearts and our Minds”.
Dr. Glenn Jago has been the Senior Pastor at Church of the Open Door in Fort Washington, PA since January of 2001. Glenn and his wife, Tammy, have three grown children and are happy grandparents.  Glenn received a Bachelor of Arts in Bible with a minor in Biblical Greek language from Pensacola Christian College. In 1981, he returned to Lansdale and graduated from the Calvary Baptist Theological Seminary with a Master of Divinity degree. Then in 2011, Glenn received the Doctor of Ministry degree in Expository Preaching from The Masters Seminary in California. He writes the "Theology 101" series for Deeply Rooted and also serves as one of a Biblical content reviewer.
A former atheist from the Pacific Northwest who thought religion was for the weak-minded, Mary Jo Sharp is now a Christian author and apologist. She holds a Masters in Christian Apologetics from Biola University and is the first woman to become a Certified Apologetics instructor through the North American Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention. A clear communicator with a teacher’s heart, she finds great joy in discussing the deep truths of her Savior. She enjoys conversing with people of differing views, and has even engaged in formal debates with Muslims.

Brian Sauve is the Pastor of Preaching & Vision at Refuge Church in Ogden, Utah. He has a Bachelors of Biblical Studies from Calvary Chapel Bible College and a thirst to put Jesus on display. He lives in Ogden Utah with his wife and two boys, Ari Judah and Ira Lewis. He also a regular contributing writer for Deeply Rooted.

Chris & Bethany Solyntjes are husband and wife worship leaders out of Renew Communities in Cleveland, Ohio. What started as writing and leading worship at Grace College in northern Indiana, turned into a marriage and lifelong commitment to show people the love and faithfulness of a God who is always near.


Dianne Jago is a military wife and mother of three living in Central Pennsylvania. She has always desired to use her love for photography and writing “for the kingdom” but never expected it would take the form of a publication or a retreat. In October of 2013, Dianne felt confirmation that God was calling her to start Deeply Rooted Magazine and in early 2014 the magazine became a reality. Dianne serves as Deeply Rooted’s founder and chief editor.
Lexy Sauvé lives in Ogden, Utah, with her family where God’s called her to be a helper to her husband Brian, a homemaker, and momma to her two boys. She also serves alongside her husband in ministry at Refuge Church in Riverdale, Utah. She has a degree in Creative Writing and sees her pen as a way to share what God’s been teaching her with others. As Contributing Editor for Deeply Rooted, Lexy spends a lot of time behind the scenes writing articles and reviewing submissions.

Stephanie Ziebarth is the Barnabas Ministry Coordinator at Joy El Camps and Retreats.  Stephanie holds a B.A. in Journalism from the University of Minnesota and also obtained discipleship training from the Navigators. She actively disciples her three young children, as well as young women from the community. She enjoys time with her husband and family, as well as activities such as hiking, camping and taking family bike rides. She also enjoys reading, writing, jogging and fellowshipping with others.

Gretchen Saffles is a Christ follower, wife, mama and business owner currently residing in Knoxville, Tennessee. She is the founder of Life Lived Beautifully - a ministry whose mission is to make the name of Jesus known to the ends of the earth.

Michael Smith is a father, husband, dreamer, and maker living with his family in the suburbs of Philadelphia. His days are spent as a full-time designer for an e-mail marketing software company. On nights and weekends, he focuses on freelance design, spoon-carving, and blogging about dad things.  

Ann Swindell is a wife, mom, writer, and speaker who is passionate about seeing women set free by the love of Christ. She writes for multiple publications, and her first book releases with Tyndale in 2017. Ann also teaches Writing with Grace, an online writing course, and makes her home close to the Mississippi River with her husband and daughter.

Mark Farhham is Associate Professor and Coordinator of Pastoral and Pre-Seminary Majors at Lancaster Bible College. Mark earned a PhD in Apologetics from Westminster Theological Seminary, a Master of Theology degree in New Testament from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, and a Master of Divinity degree from Calvary Baptist Seminary. As a former pastor, Mark Farnham understands the frustration of trying so many "Come and See" events with little apparent fruit. His training seminars are aimed at average church members who want to become prepared and confident to share their faith with anyone they meet.

Alyssa Thiel is a dreamer, believer, calligrapher and designer. She is the owner and creator behind Parris Chic Boutique, a shop specializing in handmade, meaningful home decor and celebrating love. She lives in an old historic town smack dab in the middle of New Jersey with her husband and sweet little pup. When she's not working at the shop you'll find her cuddled up by the fire, dreaming big dreams to grow their business, planning her next trip, or exploring a new creative outlet (current favorite: ceramics!). Alyssa thrives when she is studying, journaling and spending quality time with the family + friends she loves most!

Char Newswanger is a wife, mother of 4, and founder of Char Co. She leads a team of photographers, visual designers, stylists, and event planners. 
Lindsay Smith is a wife and mama with a degree in Visual Communications from Savannah College of Art and Design. She is currently flexing her creative muscle raising her little girl and sewing for her shop, Love, Palmerand additionally serves as Deeply Rooted's shop manager. 

Joyce Courtney, founder of Yoga Bird, has been teaching, leading and encouraging others to “take care of their temple” for over 30 years. A graduate of Taylor University and former Director of Women’s Ministries at her church, Joyce now spends her time operating her online yoga studio. It is her passion to see others become physically healthy through regular exercise and spiritually grounded through Christian meditation. Joyce is a happy wife who lives in the rolling hills of Lancaster County, PA with her musician husband, Steven. They have a grown-up son and daughter and are delighted to be new grandparents to June and baby Pearl.
