The Team

Our team has shifted and grown over the years, but the mission of the magazine remains the same. Meet some of the people who give so much of their time and talent to make every issue happen.

Ethan and Dianne Jago have three kids and live in Pensacola, Florida. Ethan serves at Olive Baptist Church as the Director of College and Young Professionals. He currently holds an Associate's Degree in Survival Instruction, a bachelor's degree from Southern Illinois University in Work Force Education, and is finishing up his Masters of Divinity with an emphasis on Apologetics. Dianne is a stay at home mom and has always desired to use her love for photography and writing for the glory of God but never expected it would take the form of a publication. In October of 2013, their prayers became plans for Deeply Rooted Magazine, and in early 2014 the magazine became a reality through a crowdfunding campaign. Dianne also wrote a book called "A Holy Pursuit: How the Gospel Frees Us To Follow and Lay Down Our Dreams" which released in March of 2020.

Mallory Manning lives in Indiana with her husband and two energetic pups. She spends her days with college students, working in campus ministry at Purdue University. Mallory is a self-proclaimed homebody who feels most at ease with a book in hand and most creative in the kitchen. Reading and writing have always been tools to help her encounter God's grace and process what he's teaching her. Mallory is passionate about seeing women abide in their Savior, and she’s grateful to come alongside Deeply Rooted in this pursuit.

Amarachi Bard is a wife to Mike and mama of two little girls, Auden and Joona. She studied English and History at Temple University and has since dabbled in freelance work as a writer and social media curator. She thinks some of the best moments in life happen around the dinner table, and she and her husband love inviting friends into their home to enjoy a meal—usually tacos! She has a passion for seeing individuals walking in their true identities and callings. She is currently serving as the Shop Manager for Deeply Rooted and is so excited to further God's Kingdom in this capacity.

Mary Spacapan lives in Santa Barbara, California and serves as Deeply Rooted's creative director for the print magazine. Her background spans a diverse client list of Fortune 500s, startups, and non-profits and has taken her across the globe, in board rooms and out into remote villages. As a strategic thinker and collaborative teammate, she has launched global content capture teams to support scalable multi-channel media plans and has led the creative development and execution of award-winning creative projects. You’ll usually find Mary hanging around sunny Santa Barbara, CA with a hot cup of coffee in hand— hiking the local trails, painting in her home studio, or co-working from a local cafe.

Irene is a wife and mother of five residing in southeastern Wisconsin. She has worked as a CPA at a home health agency for over 25 years and serves as Deeply Rooted's financial manager. She loves gardening, raising chickens, and spending time with her grandkids.

Lainee Oliver lives in Fort Walton Beach, Florida, with her husband, daughter, and their two dogs. After graduating from Auburn University with a degree in Public Relations, she worked in the nonprofit community before using her administrative gifts to serve her local church. Lainee has a passion for women’s ministry and theology and enjoys reading, writing, and playing the piano while her double rainbow baby sits at her feet. Lainee has appreciated Deeply Rooted from afar for some time and now serves as their e-mail marketing manager where she coordinates and creates content for online communications.
